I just got my gas tank reinstalled after putting in a new fuel sender. Thanks to the HAMB I learned that I need a rollover valve for my vent line, so I bought one of these from Tanks Inc.

Do I need to install the valve vertically like it's shown in the pic? Does it need to be installed higher than the gas tank?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I didn't think this particular rollover valve was for in the tank.

  4. apologies chuxx,I head my head some where else. The photo you so is correct, the valve is installed higher than the tank,a vent tube will connect to the barbed end

  5. i believe the nipple end is down...better check with Tanks

on my `36 i have it up high in the passenger side wheel well , under the fender

  6. Nipple down. I have the same one, I welded the bracket in my gas filler door and a hose follows the filler down to a grommet in the tank.
