I am curious about anyones input as to what they have found they like best, i dont care about cost so much as a good disc. Currently i use standard abrasive 3" in assorted grits, but the edges are soft. Thank you in advance for you input.

  2. We use 2" and 3" Roloc disc sand paper and scotchbrite in assorted grits;25,36,50 grit paper and brown, marroon, green scotch and can't imagine not using them on serious metal projects. One of the best shop tools that are used often, cheap? HELL NO!...........but, when you need it done right................

Personally don't care for the rolocs. fingured ones Ok for prep work before polishing. Seem to have a tendency to turn the centers out. For most I use a 5" electric orbital with vac attachment and perforated discs. Hard pad for flat areas and a medium soft when working countours. A orbital triangle pad for corners and tight areas. For really tight stuff, out comes the Dremel.

  4. I use Pferd brand discs. 3" 50 grit except on bad stuff. Pferd abrasives have pretty good durability in all of the products I've used.
