Technical Roof for a wanlass screen

I’ve got a wanlass screen on my 32 and I’m looking for a roof. I’ve emailed Dave Mann from the link on roadsters.com and sid chavers has just confirmed they don’t make a roof to fit.

does anyone happen to know who might make a nice frame that doesn’t need snaps fixed into the body ?

You need Dick Rodwell in Salt Lake City. Dick makes the screens and the tops. The Rodwell tops float over the body like the Chavers Bop Tops.

Very cosy with the top on, which is largely why mine lives in the trunk!

I could be wrong, but I don't think Dave Mann is still with us.

 

I have a Buddy who also talks about "I don't want snaps"on my 32 too show if roof is off. He has not had any roof for 12 years now. I like the guy an oftered to make him a folding top,but only if I could added needed snaps.
Sorry, I didn't get it when he said it and still don't,too me that's like saying you only want gold chain stuff>Don't take that wrong,I'm all for nice an smooth n shiny,****but really the cars came with snaps in a number of places to hook top,side windows ,and or tonneau cover on with. So no snaps limits you to a take off hard top,that still needs brackets to hold it down.
I did my own years back an did a Tech for Do it Your Self HAMB.
Works on any roadster. But is designed to be simple if that helps any !
