Perhaps a nice Hawaiian Floral print to match the seat covers?

<font color="green">You need to get ahold of FLT-BLK.

He has a soft top that rolls up on his truck and it is pretty sweet.

I was riding around with him in Dallas in the rain and it did a good job.

    Give him a shout.

<font color="green">Another idea I was cooking up and may try some day...

The first body style Saturn wagons have a composite roof that has pretty decent ribs in it and is nearly flat.

The material itself is very light and I was thinking of building an A sedan with a removeable, hardtop panel that would stow in the rear where the rear seat would be.

Just a half hatched idea but if you fashioned a recess so that it fit flush on top, you would be able to put a seal on it and have it water tight.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of looking at the top to Lumina mini-vans for the same purpose.

    Just tossing ideas at ya.

hell yeah, keep em coming rashy. i can use all i can get.

id like to have something that is somehow removeable. i was thinking of making an aluminum frame, hinge in the middle so i can fold it, and cover it with either canvas or aluminum. then give it the brushed aluminum look. who knows.

How about a steel insert with a giant Iron Cross shaped sunroof? [IMG]

  8. Plexyglass.
When I was younger I saw a C-Dan with a smoked plexyglass insert. It was pretty slick.
Now you could go with that mirror stuff they are putting on Ghetto cruiser windows, and reflect some of the heat away.

Look at the blonde chick in the front, follow her right arm down to her hand. Her hand is resting on the truck. [IMG]

Well, I followered her arm on the right and we don't call that a truck where I come from!

I rode in my buddy's new Vette with the smoked see thru top last weekend and I want to do that on my 31 coupe. Guess I'll study up on bending smoked plexi or acrillic glass.

ok, i like the idea of plexiglass. especially green. but isnt plexiglass kinda expensive? even if i got clear, i could put a green tint on it. someone else needs to do it so i dont have to experiment, haha.

Hi Trey, I agree with the Saturn idea. I used one on a coupe a few moths ago and was able to apply snaps to it so it could be removed. I also had a 31 coupe that used a tuck-n-roll insert that*****oned down and rolled up into a couple of old belts that I riveted to the roof. My current car has the VW roof. Looks cool but it is giving me trouble with smooth operation.

A good friend of mine made a snap in, roll and pleat insert out of marine vinal for his deuce 5 window.

It worked real good, unless it rained real heavy. It would allow a little water in if you were moving..

I'm gonna do the same thing with my 5 window. I like the idea of being able to take it off of you want...

    Rat.
