Register NOW!!! http://www.rosecityround-up.com/register The Rose City Round-Up is a celebration of the hotrod lifestyle here in Portland, OR. We are hoping that each years event will be larger and will continue to bring something special to the city of Portland. Each year of the show, we choose a charity to give proceeds to. This year, we are giving to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We invite you to join us in 2013, you won't be disappointed! This event brings a mix of Pre-1965 Cars, Pre-1980 Motorcycles, and Pre-1980 Bicycles, with great music, food, and vendors. It all happens on the 3rd weekend in June every year. This year we will kick off the show with a Flame Thrower Display and music Friday night, June 20th. We will follow it up starting at 9am till the cows come on Saturday, June 21st 2014. As always we have some GREAT entertainment for you including the return of the Flame Thrower Kick-Off, and the ever popular Pin-Stripe Panel Jam. We also have some great bands lined up for you, we can't wait to get it started!!! Pre-Registration is OPEN. Register your vehicle NOW for the show!
i'll be there with my kids, not bringing an appropriate car or motorcycle this year though... but at least further exposing the kiddos to hot rods
I'll be there. Had to pull in some favors at work to get the time off, but I'll deal with all that later. Hotrods now...work later. A man has to have priorities!
Looks like a trip over there is a must. The what we like and dislike list is pretty good too. I see there is another gig in Vancouver, is that Vancouver Washington or Vancouver Canada for those of us not keeping score? I'm thinking that one is more Street Rod than hot rod. See you at the Portland deal.
hell I'm even bringing my mother in law... she's visiting from Finland & a photographer. if ya see a bald dude with a big beard and a few loud kids, that's probably me!
Limited edition Rose City Round-up jackets ($50) and work shirts ($25) will be available at the merch booth. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
cool show... kids dug it... talked to a few folk, had a good time. gawd damn, this was effing beautiful! mmmmmmm desoto....
drivendead: was that pic taken with the quad rotor drone that was hovering around? the whole way home from the show, my son was talking about that thing... mostly wondering if he'd thrown his hot dog at it, if it would crash...
I wish he would have...that damn thing was getting on my nerves. Sounded like a whole swarm of mosquitos!
Lol, no that was a roof shot. Here is the drone shot. If he threw his hot dog at it, then he would be out food! No one wants that. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Almost hate to admit this, but I went home and looked them up on a Google search, just because it looked so cool. Then Sunday night 60 Minutes happened to have a segment on the new proliferation of average people buying drone copters. They covered the company that built a drone copter that looked very much like the one I saw at Round-Up. Looks like they run about $500 with camera and controller.
yeah... I did that too. thoughts of rad aerial shots were quickly replaced with thoughts of having the drone drop water balloons on specified GPS targets. like the neighbor's house. they start off pretty cheap. ordering one...

Thanks guys. My personal favorite show. Maybe next year I can have a car or truck there again, providing it does not catch fire on its way again!
