Interesting Ben. Will you have it all together by the hundred in April?

It has been slow moving for sure! Finally got the new wheels situated last night. I need to spray some paint on them and get the new tires mounted up and it will at least have the look. I will have to keep the rest of the car in tact just to pull out in the road and take some pictures with the new look. I’m excited!

I’ve been spending some time on the “not so interesting” parts like brakes, brake lines, wheels bearings and such so I haven’t shared much here. I did get to mock up a wheel last night and I think I’m going to be pretty happy with how this turns out ;) 1F18DA34-BE54-4B89-98F1-F8E576C62DE4.jpeg

Finally done running brake lines as of last night! No fun pictures as it has been boring work for a week or two now. I don't mind building brake lines, but this was one of my first times doing it so a few lessons were learned. It is very satisfying, but only when done correctly. I just need to bleed them now, and I should be on the home stretch for this round of updates. I also plan to run a new fuel line and add a regulator and electric pump while I am at it. I've been fighting some rich conditions (on the car, not my bank account) and I think it may be due to too much fuel pressure. I also want to get my running board covers on that I got for Christmas a year and a half ago LOL. Oh yeah, rear seatbelts are also on my short list right now. My girl turns two next month and I can't wait to get her cruising with me this summer.

As far as the long term plan goes, I was waiting on the Pete and Jakes parallel leaf spring kit for over 6 months before I finally decided to go a different route. @RedneckBuz hollered at me and mentioned he had a leftover kit from @Weedburner 40 and a deal was struck. I am looking forward to using Dale's kit, I've heard a lot of good about it. So now I've got the fresh motor and trans bolted together and ready to go, and the rear leaf spring kit should show up any day now, all I need to do is get the rearend cleaned up and the rear brakes rebuilt then we will be ready to go from version 1.75 to version 2.0. Not sure when I will get around to it, but I am thinking maybe after the April and May events that are on my calendar. The swap shouldn't take more than a day or two, right??

Well maybe some of you have seen, and maybe some of you haven't but the 40 is for sale. Life get's in the way and priorities change I've come to find out. If interested the link to the sale post is below.
