Who here has installed and set up one of Tony's adjustable timing chains for the Olds Rocket? I'm having trouble figuring out the timing marks on the crank gear. It's marked for advance and retard in two degree increments (from two to eight degrees). What's confusing me is there's an inside row of indicators and and outside row around the circumference that don't correspond to the inner circle.

I'm pretty sure the inner circumference indicates the woodruff key slot corresponding to the chosen advance/retard you want. But there are two "dots" in the outer row of timing marks which I'm assuming are for lining up with the cam gear "dot", but this is what I'm trying to confirm.

Dot key way = Dot @ tooth, A2 key way = A2 @ tooth and on and on is my guess.
