Anybody used the Roth flake Bazooka or the gravity fed gun they sell from Sacramento vintage ford? How about the flake? Good, bad or indifferent, I just wanna know before investing in the thing or let me know what you guys have had success with. Just a guy trying to spray a lotta flake.

according to what i found when i searched , was that it is better to buy a primer gun which comes with a bigger tip, for the flake and it's cheaper than those guns, and to use inter-coat clear with the flake, because it carries the flake better and it's harder for the flake to run...at least thats what i have understood. so i might be wrong

Alex Gambino sells the flake and both the Roth flake guns.

Nope, you're just about dead on. I've never used the flake buster gun, a friend of mine bought one so maybe I'll try it. I don't really like the idea of spraying the flake on dry. I spray mine from either a 1.7 or a 2.0, depending on the size of the flake, in intercoat clear.
