Lotus 7 type rear fenders on the rear would save you from clean up. Open wheel cars are fun until he gravel pelting gets personal. Paint, pipes, and personnel are not immune to sand blasting. I knew it was small, I didn't think it was smol.
It moves, steers, and stops good. I still have to be careful because of the clutch pedal issue, so i haven't done to much driving yet. I took it out on the gr*** and she'll kick sideways real nice. I was surprised to see Amazon delivering today seeing how its memorial day. My new brake light switch came in to replace the one I melted while welding the brake pedal back in. I also ordered an air cleaner shield in hopes of diverting heat from the header. It was so cheap I honestly couldn't build one for what I paid for it. Yes its fake carbon fiber and I hate it, but its tucked in a spot where i won't see it.
What are these style wiper blades called? They are 10". Looking for either the correct replacements, or just refills.
Anco? Maybe Trico? There is Trico Cl***ic. At worst you might have to pilfer the rubber insert from a 16" conventional blade and cut it down to size. Reuse all your hardware and just use the new rubber blade as a refill.

Absolute dumbest solution i could have come up with to fix the clutch issue. Simple, adjustable, and works.
That's basically what all cable clutches use to stop them travelling too far. You re-invented the clutch stop.
Driver window crank just stripped out. It looks like there was some work of lead or other type of soft metal in there holding the knurled shaft in place. The gl*** is stuck down, i dont know how to go about getting it back up so I can remove the regulator... Without knowing what im dealing with yet, I found this Fingers crossed its just this simple
PSA: do not buy these wiper blades. They're **** and flop all over. I got them from Speedway Motors. I ended up stealing the rubbers out of them and retrofitted them to my og trico frames.
Could use Super Duty grille to play peek-a-boo Was the blade/holder flopping in the housing? Looks like they dont have the reinforcing/doubling bars for the blades. I've run into that occasionally, newer blades dont have the doublers and the 'C' holder lets blades roll over.
See! Its working! That is what fun toys are suppose to do, give you something to look forward to after the work day is finished. If you do it correctly, it makes the work day go faster, however, if you don't do it correctly, it makes the work day drag on. Doing it correctly takes effort. About those wiper blades, if you are able to rob the rubber parts out of the cheap Speedway wiper blades, that may be the cheapest and the easiest way to get replacement blades.
New toy came in today. Trying to decide where I want to mount it. Originally I was thinking right side where the bumper guard is meant to be, then I found a guy who may sell me the missing guard. Now I'm thinking either mount it on the driver's side just inside the bumper guard. OR aquire the missing guard, and search out a 2nd fog light...
With the yellow, and that grille, Im thinking in front of the grille like a DB5 As long as it doesn't block airflow/cooling. That would be a vote for a 2nd fog light. Japanese cars of the era were a bit British inspired, your Datsun does look like a Mini from the front.
Nailed it! I'll look for another light. Another piece of the puzzle came in today. I didn't realize how dished it is when I bought it. May work out fine... Who knows.
That wheel has a pretty deep dish, for sure. Superior steering wheels come in a variety of diameters and depth, if this one doesn't work as well as you would like. I have a weakness for their wood grip wheels. I have one on my 48 Plymouth coupe, over time the wood has started to deteriorate (I bought the wheel used) and I ended up wrapping it with small diameter rope. The rope has been there several years, at this point it probably could stand to be redone, but that probably won't happen.
Attempting to get this horn ring off without destroying it. I dont know if someone glued it on at some point or if time just melted it on. The ring is crakced in half, i didnt do that. Half is loose, the other side is welded on there...
Have you tried twisting? I *thought* there was some Japanese cars that the horn ****on comes off after a 1/8-1/4 twist... or is that Bri'ish cars? Did you check bottom of ****on(steering wheel 180° rotated) for a screwdriver slot?
Welp... that wasn't the way. Apparently there are 2 slotted screws under the steering wheel that releases the whole horn ***embly. Not the usual push and turn method. Modeling glue here we come
That ring snapped and the ****on shot off like a rocket. Spring hit the ceiling. Kudos to them though. Way better design than turn and pray
