Ok... I know that there are several threads already about the Round Up, but*****it, I am as excited as a petterass in a schoolyard. I am taking off the rest of the week to get all the last minute***** done before the trip... I might even get mini bike #2 finished up before Friday. The weather looks good so far.. upper 70's and low 80's. At least it should'nt be cold this year... By the way, does anyone that is headed to Austin have the following: Fuel pump push rod for a '49 Ford 94 8BA carb (top only) I usually carry an extra push rod and carb, but I can't find the extra push rod that I have and the fuel inlet is stripped on my extra 94 carb.... Don't forget to meet on I-35 at Carls Corner @ noon (anyone traveling south from DFW) Let's hear a big yee-haw for anyone headed to Austin!
I'm purdy stoked too...gotta wait till my babysitter gets here Friday, so I'm not meeting BoomBoom till 4:30 in Waco and then we're headed to the Trophy Bar...rock music, late night, early morning...good times! See you then.
me and the old lady are cruisin' down early sat. i'm gonna hang at the shop till late on friday in case anybody comin' down 35 needs any roadside****istance. i'm a roundup virgin, so i'm really gettin excited about poppin my cherry!!
I'm all excited too! Hell I'm finding it hard to sleep. I also took a couple of extra days off to get some stuff done. Leaving early Friday to head to Austin. Looking forward to meeting some more HAMBers.
Im right there with yall! Can't wait. Anybody going down later friday could meet up with me and Hamilton in Waco round 5 oclock. Takin off thursday to finish up monster shirts and last minute prep on the ford. Roundup Baby!!
See ya at Carls Corner or sooner ! Flying into dallas on thursday morning to do the last minute do's on the el camino. What time and from where are you heading from to go to Carl's.
I'm splitting Marathon at about noon, so hope to get to the Klub by sundown. car is up on jackstands as I write this. gack.
When I leave the rust belt i think I might go to texas insted of Cali, seems like a bad-ass place to live.
That is why we moved here from SoCal of 26 years.... not to be an****, but this is my road trip to the Continental Club
Outlaw and Beatnik could pretty much get to the club by just throwing thier cars in neutral. They'd have to fire 'em up to get back home, though.
Lol, Outlaw you got me beat. I guess with all the traffic it is still going to take an hour though! See y'all then!
Should be ready to roll... I came across a 94 top that I needed today... thanks to those who offered... Funny (actually not) story... I was going through my usual trip-prep today and noticed that one side of the flathead was running a little hot. I pulled the thermostat to check it out in a pot on the stove and it opened up just fine. BUT... when I went to put everything back together I over tightened the thermostat housing and CRIZZACK! the cast iron housing broke in half! I haulled**** over to Antique auto in Arlington and picked up a new set.. and everything appears to be fine.. I would like a 30 minute free-for-all shoppng spree in antique auto with a big fat shopping cart!!!!! I am soo excited.. and I have the rest of the week off.... Austin here I****! HC
HankCash, That's the place at the end of Colorado, right? The guy with that warehouse load of NOS stuff? Yeah, that place is the cat's****. OldCarPilot and I wandered in there one day and were amazed.

That's right around the corner from where I'll be tomorrow and Thursday! The guy didn't seem like he really wanted us in there, very short answers and it seemed like any parts we asked about, he didn't have, except for OCP's 1957 Chevy gas cap to replace the Dixie cup someone had wedged in the hole instead!

When possible, I deal with Ronnie at Antique Auto. He drives a shoebox coupe and is really helpful. Has any body delt with Stacey, the owner, He always seemed kinda moody for some reason. Nice guy when hes in a good mood. Oh yea, ROUNDUP BABY!!!!!
Stacey's a interesting type of guy, but he knows his*****. I've gotten all kinds of odd***** from him, '59 Rambler tailight lenses, tailgate handle for a 57 Dodge wagon.
