The roundup was the best ever! The most fun I've ever had. Totally insane! I think we're gonna need a bigger boat. I don't even know where to start with the thank yous. There are so many folks who make this thing so good. First off to my Kontinental brothers. Y'all are the greatest bunch of guys ever. To pull this off year after year with so little trouble is amazing to say the least. The hard work that y'all do is greatly appreciated by me. I am thankful to be a small part of it, and proud to have all of you as my pals. To our sisters from the Fender Skirts, Thank you! Your involvement this year took allot of the work load off of us and we needed it. Great job! I look forward to our continued partnership. To Ryan, Dude, what can I say? Your support had been the key to our success! Bob Bleed, you are an Inspiration to me both musically and in my Hot Rod endeavors. I hope to see you and Laura back in Austin soon. You are a Ruler! Tuck, if I could bottle your enthusiasm I would be rich! You and Jolene are also welcome in our city anytime. And you are also a Ruler! Jimmy White and the whole Circle City Crew, Thanks for bringing your killer hot rods to show us. True ART! Seeing them inspires me to improve myself. Rulers!!! Plus yall are just a blast to have around. Von Franco, you make our show coolsville. Mcphail ****s! Thanks Dennis. Your T is *****in !!!! hope your back recovers. The Beatniks The Outkasts The Chuppacabras Them The Barrons The Roadrockets And all the clubs attending. I can only hope we can support you guys half as much as yall support us. I know Ive forgotten many people I need to say thanks to, if you are one, Im sorry in advance. So Ill just end this by saying To all the Hambers, we are just glad yall like to come and play in our sand box. Thanks to all of you for coming to the show.
oooh at least theres a pic of my hood and roof in that pic had a great time at the show and all weekend
Wow, I may need a little while to recover! Thanks to everyone that came out to the show. Ya'll are what makes the show what it is. The number and quality of cars and people just keeps on growing each year. Who'd a thunk it 5 or so years ago when we were sitting around a park table in LaGrange at a 30ish car show and somebody said, "Maybe we could do something like this in Austin." HaHa I just wish the whole thing was longer, but I think 72 hrs. with next to no sleep is about all I could handle. I just didn't get to hang out with everyone as much as I would like. Special thanks to the Chupacabras, Outkasts, Road Rockets, and Barons who have supported us bigtime from day 1. I really feel that this is as much ya'lls show as it is ours. It wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today without you. Outside of McPhail, the Beatniks don't ****. Franco is the ****. Tuck is the most famous Canadian since Gretsky. Jimmy White and the Circle City gang is the ****. Can't wait to see you back for the Drags! Enjoyed hangin' with you for a while on Sunday. Sorry we had to bail on the way to dinner. I'm just a hack car guy trying to keep **** on the road. And huge thanks to Ryan and the HAMB. Don't know the words to use to express my appreciation for all that Ryan has done for hot rodding. To the Kontinentals and the Fender Skirts, Get some rest because the Drags are around the corner. I can't wait!!!
What a weekend... It was great to have all my friends from all over the place together in Austin... too many people to list- you know who you are. One person I definitely need to thank is Krupanut for letting me drive his roadster all weekend. It was fun/scary hauling *** down Wedgewood in that thing... It really inspired me to get my hot rod on the road.
I want to go next year! (I say that every year) Say....what's that green stuff some of the cars are parked on? It looks sort of familliar.....I just can't put a finger on it though...
Fun and fear are what it's all about! No problem bro, Thanks for getting it to the show for me. You want to baby sit it till I get back from Green Bay? We need to get on Colettes mopar at the end of April and in May and come up with a plan for your C-dan.
really sick i had to miss this year. come hell or high water i'll be ther next spring! thanks for the pics got any more of Aaron/US Kustom's new bel air?
I said it in one of the lost posts already. My weekend started out rough, but with some help from friends it got better. The Kontinentals did a great job, especially with the growth. Friday night was cool I finally got to do a burnout on Congress. Bleed Rocks!!!! Special thanks to Hotwheel and Outlaw.
I would like to know who went into the techno clothing store on Congress and started freak dancing customers Friday night. That was some funny ****.....
Well its Tuesday afternoon already and Im still numb from the weekend. And it aint from ridin from Azle to Austin in my bucket! (well, maybe a little). This Round Up was as good as it gets! The Kontinentals are writin the book on how to do a car show! I know I sound like Gomer Pyle but, Thankya, Thankya!,Thankya! I live for this show. Also for High School Caesar to be able to play was an added bonus. As if gettin to play the greatest car show in the world wasnt enough but to also share the stage with Johnny Reno, Krupanut, and Matt the Catt (can I still call him that?) was a highnote in my musical career! The Round Up is such an inspiration to me on so many levels, the Cars, the Art, the Music. Like I said, As good as it gets, baby! Ed
Man, I need to say thanks too! Talk about extremes. Even with the accident, the was one super weekend. Thanks to all of those who join me for "Hamburger Eat-a-Thon". I'm glad ya'll carried on to Thirsty Thursdays with the Thunderbolts while I licked my wounds from the wreck. Friday's garage crawl was awesome too! Logging miles in hotrods and meeting with other car guys is what this stuff is about. Man has this grown from the 3 cars we had 3 years ago. Don Dillard, what a fine roadster! Thanks for letting me ride shotgun. Flat-Top, you're the man for getting my mind around hosting this. And to my Kontinental brothers....you guys are good people.....all of you. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I never participated in car show until you guys. I never felt I fit in.....for obvious reasons. Man was I wrong. Thanks for bringing me out of the closet. Ryan, bud, like the others said --- the LSRU is largely because of you and what you have done for world of Hot Rodders. I'm partial to my elders and I love seeing them "back in the game". They say rodding is fun again and that's because of what you are doing. And my coupe? It's looking better every day. I think the Road Rockets took a bunch of pics. Maybe they can post one. Can't wait until next year!!
Man, all the Oklahoma guys had a great weekend. We were tired as hell but still had a good time. What a weekend huh! Excellent!! I have a lot of pics I will be putting up on photobucket later. I had a blast. What a way to start the season off. It was another great show. Looking forward to next year already. Thanks to everyone who made my weekend great. My club and all my friends. Thanks to Outlaw for my newest addition to the monkey collection. That monkey is freakin huge man!!! Thanks to the Kontinentals for a great weekend. You guys did a great job once again. Pics to follow... monkey
I too, would like to thank everyone that was involved in putting this past weekend together. Special thanks to Reggie (Hotwheel) for putting together the Friday Shop Crawl. I had to be back in DFW Land Saturday morning, so I am especially thankful to those who put all the Friday Festivities together! Great job, yall! I had a blast! The only way it coulda been better for me was if I coulda stayed the rest of the weekend! (OK, maybe if 93 octane woulda dropped below a dollar, but... )
