well, it looks like jon found his panhard bushing for the 50 OLDS..(he's drivig from indy, and we're gonna meet in st. louis) i got the exhaust done this morning on the 59 CHEVY WAGON.. if it all comes together, we're hitting the road wednesday night... right now we're looking at a 85% chance we're both gonna make it... i still have quite a few loose ends to*****on up... and this stupid JOB i have is really getting in the way....

Rudy's? Certainly you had better BBQ when you were down here. The BEST I could say about Rudy's is to buy some of their sauce and take it to a real BBQ joint.
Stubbs is pretty dang good. I have Stubbs sauce in my fridge. I'm not to BBQ afficianado (sp) that some folks are, but I know what I like. The best BBQ around here, IMHO, is either Salt Lick or Kreuz's. Salt Lick is in Driftwood, Kreuz is in Lockhart, both about 30-45 mins. away. The best, in town, is either Stubb's, or Iron Works.
i'll be there for the first time, along with my triumph...for the last time! and going home with a new project. just look for the bald guy on the motorsickle bumming floor space at the austin motel.
