I went out to his shop once, a super friendly guy who will sign anything you want and pictures too. He let us walk through his shop like we owned it. I have never met a more nicer car guy anywhere. He deserved this award.
Roy's alright by me, he offered me a temporary job back in 2002 sanding parts for paint. I wouldn't have minded a full time gig, but I was new and knew nothing so it just wasn't in the cards. The job didn't last long enough to gain enough experience, it was just for getting the shop caught up with the amount of work they had at the time. He even guided me away from trying to save up to buy one of their ch***is, he told me it was not necessary to have a pro built frame to get involved in hot rods and that I could build my own using original rails. So that's what I did. Thanks Roy!
Never met the man but from what I have heard over the years he certainly deserves the recognition. HRP
