Event Coverage Royboy goes to the Rumble Drags

    I’d been meaning to get to the Rumble Drags at Thunder Valley Raceway in Bethany, MO for the last few years. Finally this weekend I had the ability to make it out there.
    The strip was built in 66 and it looks to my untrained eye to be almost exactly like it was then.

    Such a cool car, did I hear correctly that it was originally built in the early 70’s?

    Yes sir. , said to have been built in 72. Pounded ground until the 90’s. Then was in.time-out for 25 years. Just long enough to dry rot everything completely. Covered in green dust/moss/mold.
