    What was the purpose of the residual pressure valves in the output ports on the drum brake master cylinders on late 60s GM cars?

    One less part to bolt on? Just the same as any other residual valve. Just packaged different

    Basic’s, to keep cups at the wheel cylinder expanded at all times.
