Technical RTV or not?

ABout rdy to put the rear banjo together.. Do you use RTV on the gaskets or run them dry?

 

A very very thin skim coat.

 

I use Hylomar.

 

I never use RTV on any gaskets, I uses gasket sealer, such as Permatex Aviation.

But you can do what you want....

Several different Hylomar. Which one?

 

Black permatex rtv. Hundreds of applications personally and never no leaks....

 

Permatex non-hardening gasket sealer.

When you refer to "banjo" do you mean this type of rear end? 1932-48 Ford
