I made to Redondo from the OC with an ez drive up the 405 but the ride home was not the same and I didn’t expect it to be. I won’t post the duplicate photos of Freddie as we both look to have the same taste and include a few different ones. The car count had to be 150 with some coming and others leaving. I couldn’t resist the two 1931 Mayflowers or the 56 Continental. The 2 58 Chevrolets could have been on the lot side by side in 58. I have a soft spot for 49-52 club coupes. The shot of my 56 had to have the Power Plant stacks from units 7 and 8 since a lot of my Edison career was spent overhauling those 2 generating units.
Had a fun time and may return next summer if they can continue with their Friday nights.

 

Ahh!!! Jimmysix !! So busy with the shoot today your help is much appreciated and glad you made and seems the show was big enough we didn't have time to meet but I do feel like we have shook hands at least a dozen times such is the wonders of HAMB . I remember in the early '70s I was really all alone being an early teen at a show or my loneliest ventures were at the Rose Bowl such high dollar elite car kookoos like Harrah's curators just tearing through parts and buying it all up and here I was with a brain and balls and a little cash so I do appreciate your involvement in this thread and others I have learned so much from you in such little time thanks to HAMB so I do want you to know your input on this thread and others threads I do roll out the red carpet for you so see I want you involved in my threads Jimmysix and everyone else also it ain't my thread ain't my show it's ours it's all ours and we are in America and free free free so bring it on I wanna know what you know . So the green and burgundy cars in the one picture are named Mayflowers how interesting I will research them more the green sedan I see at the Torrance Antique Faire once in awhile I always take a break to look at it for awhile a really friendly type of build I think the car has a way of drawing me into it with it's dark green and roomy interior . The '58s are same owner and the Lincoln is a rolling beauty if I recall same shape for many years the owner does a stand up job maintaining

 

Mayflowers = they are Plymouths. A slang name I remember from the 50’s.

 

Ahh Plymouths that may explain why I see it as having a ' roomy ' interior. A '36 Dodge Business Coupe has a surprisingly large interiors area also and it's funny I do ask myself why for personal use I keep building Fords lol !
