Maybe I missed the post but did you see the superstars in Rod & Custom standin behind Rudys badass #57 32 roadster or is that roadstar ?
Well ya got 2 outta three parts right bud Yes it's Roadstar's roadster Yes it's me in my '04 HAMB Drags t-shirt BUT.... the guy I'm talking to is my dear friend Daryle (known as 40 on the RRT) from S. Sioux City, NE and in case anyone was wondering the GG DesMoines show is a really great one to attend. Pretty laid back with lots of trees and cruzn. Nite life in the parking lots left alittle to be desired but the fireworks on Saturday nite made up for it. Well worth heading back to the fairgrounds for after dinner.
and it will be full features on both cars. I'm so excited I can't hardley wait. It's hard to believe one of my cars will be in R&C with such extensive coverage on it. Not to mention the Ego-Rama photos and article. I sure hope the distributor in the metro Detroit area drops off lots of extra copies in each store. I planning on giving them out to all my relatives that come over on Christmas Eve.
Hey its kinda hard to tell if that was Rudy from the picture but I took a stab at it.... Sorry ass blind Man Pat.
Well they kinda look similar.....they both are handsome and bald You show up to my house on Christmas Eve and I'll hand you a gift wrapped copy.
Yeah, I saw that! It's getting to the point that seeing you in magazines isn't any less common than an ad for a Heidt's M2 setup. Congrats!
LOL in all honesty if i didnt have to work at 5am on Christmas day, i't be well worth the drive just for some miseltoe time... i hear Rudy's a hell of a kisser
If there was a "Lifetime achievement award" for the hotrodder that has driven the most miles in their hotrod, Denise would win....and the second place award winner wouldn't even be close. Miles+smiles+cookies=Denise.....
Hotrodladycruiser rocks. Denise, I've never met you, but you're a true hotrodder & you get respect on a message board that makes a lot of grown men cry (this may be one of the most testosterone addled places on the net). And you do it with no attitude, a smile, and a plate full of cookies. Few people could pull that off. You rule.
You guys are so sweet. .......now back on track I thought I'd share a scan of the page that my buddy Bob posted on the RRT of Roadstar's roadster so those that didn't get (if there are any) this issure of R&C can see what his roadster looked like this summer with the new wheels and Coker dirt tracks.
Yup me and Denise put pleanty of miles on the Roadster this summer thats for sure and The DesMoines GG show was one of the highlites of the summer. I had just got the dirt trackers and was kinda conserned about a 750 mile trip. Of course it started in the rain as alot of our trips did, and we drove half way home sunday in the pouring rain as well. As for the Tires....All I can say is they handle awesome! They seemed to stick better in the rain than any tire combo I've ever had on the car. Lastly I should thank Tim Bernsau(I think thats how you spell it) from Rod and Custom for the pic. He is also one of the nicest guys in the Magizine buisness you will ever meet. Funny, witty, and always has a great story to tell.
"Nite life in the parking lots left alittle to be desired but the fireworks on Saturday nite made up for it." Wow, that hurt -The Des Moines show is a great show with nice fairgrounds. I couldn't imagine summer without it. Congrats on the Magazine coverage, you deserve it. Mootz
I thought about what I wrote late last nite and thought 'maybe I can edit it before Mootz sees what I wrote' Guess not BUT, you know what I meant cuz we talked about it. OUR group was about the only thing going on in any of the hotel parking lots. See ya in July if not sooner.
5 drunks in the parking lot and they were all HAMBERS. I think I referred to our hotel as the old folks home last year so I new what you meant. Just messin with you. Mootz
