  4. I can't wait to see this car in paint. This should be in the best mercs built thread even though it is not done.

Gotgas, by looking at that video, Rudy pretty much hand made that whole roof. Then hand made the window frames out of two sets of originals (only god knows how long that must have taken) and made the inside radius piece on the doors to look bone stock.

I think I have watched that video over and over hitting pause for an hour.....Incredible.

That guy has the talent of 100 men.

I can't believe I am going to say it,..... But, I like the proportions of the Rodriguez Merc better than the Matranga Merc,..... ( I honestly never thought I could like any Merc as well as the Matranga car !) Everything the man builds is visual perfection and a study in proportion and stance.

Beautiful! Great proportions. Excellent panel gaps. Its those little things that separates the men from the boys.

  15. the seams on that car are better then any I have ever seen. kudos

  16. Dante,Is that the one that's been sitting around unfinished for a bunch of years? So,you're finishing it? Looks like it's gonna be great! The slanted b-piler looks very unique and i'm sure will make that Merc standout amongst all the Matranga copies. What color will it be?

  17. The doors on a stocker fit like crap. That is an amazing car. Best chop job I think I've ever seen.

thanx guys... Rudy and I got to talking at the GNRS last yr. he saw the 50 Merc that we had just finished. he liked it and mentioned he had a Merc that need some paint work. a few months later we were loading his Merc on to the trailer. i'll make him more proud of it once he see it.

  27. Dante,
