    Is it April 1st?

Wow, taking a perfectly good car with some untouched history and making a rat rod out of it. :(

  2. Hey man. Your car has some serious attitude. People look their entire life for a real survivor and never find one. From the pics, it appears that your car is somewhat butchered. Please don't take that the wrong way, but it needs more than some small upgrades to be safe and reliable. Very cool to find a Henry A Roadster. Thankyou for taking out the mini van seat. The buckets are awesome. Question? Wouldn't you be better off using a "T" frame, any period axles, your Alfa grill, and make your own special or speedster? I like the ideas, but this car is dying to be a street warrior. The dash needs some serious help, fine tune the body, clean things up a bit, and damn that car would be bad ass. The drive train is wicked. But a dual wheeled, spoked wheel, alfa nose, hill climber with a Olds mill and a LaSalle trans doesn't mesh right I don't think. Idk? I like your end goal, I just don't know that this is the right car. Some cars are meant to be built, some cars are meant to be refined, some cars are meant to be preserved, and some cars get parted out. Your car appears to be between refined and preserved. What ever you decide to do with her, she sure is bitchin right now. Hope you find what your looking for.

Your car is what most guys are trying to achieve... That's what must be the gripe... They don't want you to mess up what is their idea of "perfect", "finished", "traditional", etc.. (That bitchin' lil' roadster is all those things by the way)
Here's my take on this; If I put (bolt on-bolt off) wide whites, or (bolt on-bolt off) fender skirts, or remove the hood for the week end, it changes the look of the car. I can change it back or leave it depending on what mood I'm in at a given time. What I won't do is ask someone else's opinion about doing it, I'd just do it.
I'm sure you just wanted to toss the idea against the wall to see if it'd stick... but you bull's-eyed a hornet's nest.
Being new, you didn't realize how serious these guys are or what you were getting yourself into. Now you know.
