Thanks. When I take it down for welding I will try to measure it up. I basicly used the "crease" behind the door and the front body holes as the guide for the whole thing. figure out how much you need in front of the firewall and where to start the rear kick. I will hook up some measurements later. see ya

  10. My only question would be about the steering arms. They look like the kind that are ment to go behind the axle, like stockers, for correct Ackerman. Total Performance do their T setups with a tie rod in front, but also make steering arms to compensate for this. If you take a look their spread out as they go forward, arms for behind the axle are angled inward.

  11. Looks as if you may have corrected that already.

looks really good so far...the spacing between the rear tires and the body...question: with ronnies car we found that you get a bit of sidewall flex with those tall tires and can run into some paint/body abrasion if your spacing is not right or you may have to run more air pressure than you might want to....it is also a great measure of how stable the rear end is cause if it has any movement side to side will also give you some rub marks???? just an observation...dad:cool:

ps good to see you got good help...put some grease on garrett for me!!!

The blackwall slicks look cool, but it kinda makes me depressed the whites are on the inside

It might change before it is all over. I might buy some for the front so I have some choices!

Got a little more mock-up done. I finally got some headers so I can mount the steering box(as soon as I can get the joint situation figured out). I promised myself I would leave the tripower in the house so you'll have to use your imagination! here ya go...

Rich, that is looking really good. you need to roll it outside while in the mock up stage and get some good side shots and that way you can step back and really look at it from a distance and from all angles to make sure its got the height and rake you want..

Looking great. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I dig the tie rod out front.

  19. Comming along great

  20. Looks very good---I hope you don't mind, I "borrowed" one of your pictures to use as a perfect example of what a grillshell mounted behind a suicide front crossmember looks like.---Brian

I liked it too but ackerman is nearly impossible without freaky steering arms and I found some that would fit under the 47 bones.

Few things for an update... radiator and headlights mounted. steering box, column and draglink. Not much but its coming along. Next is the subfloor and seats. Anybody make flat metalflake steering wheels? The column is a bit long and I can cure it with a flat dish wheel. Later, Rich
