Today was 18 Saturday's in a row of rain. A least it was not a washout. I drove the coupe up this morning in light rain all the way. Actually the turnout was pretty good considering. It did stop after around 10:30:am. Swap meet was about the same amount of vendors as usual. Cars were lighter than I'm used to seeing. Cars did seem to filter in all day as it cleared. Saw many friends and met some new ones. Al in all a good day. My coupe ran good. It's finished now so I will be looking to sell soon. Here are some photos !
I was in a toss-up, the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks and ARCA at LimeRock Park (Conn) or the Rumblers Terryville (Conn) today. However, hitting a deer with my truck caused me to miss both!
Besides your 32’ I thought that 36 3w ruled ! Thanks for the photos, some real nice hot rods showed up !
Mark, Thank you for bringing the show to me! Your coupe looks so terrific I’m guessing it drew the bear out of the woods to get a closer look
Oh boy, you got this all wrong. The deer committed suicide by running into your truck or, the deer almost made it across but tripped and fell into your truck. You never, never, never "hit a deer". My personal favorite, one of the guys who drove for the same company I did was going through Chicago and a deer jumped off an overpass and took out the windshield of his truck. Fortunately, the driver wasn't injured. The company tried to call it an avoidable accident.
Nice turnout. Some great cars. This one had me scratching my head, But the more I looked at it I'm pretty sure it's a customized MG MGA. VW headlights, the bumper is MGA, just cut down,The grille looks Ferrari, appears to have a Small block Chevy in it, Fenders are flared, and MG did make a closed top MGA, pretty rare car. I like it.
THANK YOU ALL who made it , Mother Nature is a Bitch ! But those who came had fun & stayed dry for the most part Thae MG started as a hardtop & ended up with a Porsche roof and I beleive Porsche headlights , according to the owner Thanks Again , Squirm
Mark, thank you as always for your photos. A big thank you for the people that brought their cars regardless of the weather.
Excellent photos of a great group of rides that ignored the weather, hard core bunch for sure.. Thanks for sharing.
