I drove my Purple "A" Coupe (which "4t6ford" can fit into)from the Gulf Coast to Orlando to be with my Rumbler and Draglinks friends for the day. I was greeted at the gate by our own "Nads" and shortly after by "DraglinksCC" (aka Mikey ) . It was held at 'Cowboys' and the place was packed with bitch'n HotRods, Customs and Bikes. It was great to see and meet up with old freinds, although there were several that I did'nt get to meet up with. The weather was great, sunny and 75+, vendors with lot's of cool stuff, I even got 5 new-old DVD movies. Nads, I even got a big hug from your lovely wife ! I had a great time, THANKS to Nads and the Rumbler's!
We were on I-4 and we were being passed back and forth by the guy in the slant 6 T-bucket w/o a windshield leading his caravan (48 Chevy coupe, a Ford truck, an 'A' coupe and a purple 'A' panel) behind him almost all the way back to Tampa. He was going at least 70 the entire trip. Chicks, ya gotta dig 'em.
Thank you everybody for your participation, it was the best yet. We're rapidly outgrowing this spot too. We didn't get a count, but I bet we had close to 300 cars. The highlights of the day were seeing MBL's roadster driving under it's own power and Barry Mazza bringing The Aztec. Shit we shoulda paid Barry to bring that gem to our little car show. The car's beyond incredible, I never thought I'd see it in real life let alone see it move under it's own power. Barry's a very nice guy too, he was leaving before the trophys were given out and I told him he was gonna get best Kustom, he said he wasn't looking for trophies he just wanted to share his car with everybody. Another highlight was having an old friend and I bury the hatchet over some stupid shit. He came up to me and shook my hand, it was finally put to rest. Now I can go to his garage and see what he's building. I couldn't have done any of this without my club brothers and our wives. One of our dudes even flew from Hawaii to be there, I'm honored. Gotta do this again next year.
With a big ol' shit eater on his mug I'll bet! 300 cars! Congrats on the ongoing success of the Rumblers show Nads! And congrats to MBL on his roadster, it looks great!
AHotRod...great pics...sorry I missed you and 4t6ford, I wanted to meet you guys! I was stoked to see my car make it into one of your pics....albeit...it was parked BEHIND the car you were shooting a picture of but it made it!
I wasn't able to make the show, but my buddy did, and said there was a maroon Hudson Brougham there. Any chance anyone took a pic of that car?
Damn Nads, you guys ever do shows on the shit side of Fl. i.e the Atlantic?if not whens the next one on the west coast?
holy shit them there are some gawdarn ugly hotrods. well, okay, not all of them. three or four were nice. the customs were nice too. and the blond. I have an idea, how about a black suede paint job, red rims and wide whites and a few iron crosses.....now that would be different.
Thanks Krupa! We had some interest in my shitbox...and some fun driving around too. Here's Swiss Mike dropping a turd in my seat...of course he said that he was only really nervous after the ride...when he got a better look at the car.
Farmer, I'm sorry about the ugly cars, but this isn't California, it never will be. We will always suck, our efforts will always be maligned, we will never catch up to you. I'm glad we at least had a few pretty cars, we did get The Aztec, I'm still woody after seeing it.
Hey Farmer do you really need to knock the cars that turned out? Atleast at our simple little south east coast shows we arnt to cool to even talk to each other. Ive lived out west and Id rather attend our kinda shows any day over your fashion shows JERK!
