    Circled is where we congregate

The 1 represents the tech, racing fuel, timing shack area

    The 2 represents the start.

    • I did get confirmation from the shirt maker. The shirts will be 15.00 for S-XL, 17.00 for **L & **X L. The color was discussed and we think the gold on black and Black or Blue on the gray ash. I would like to order only shirts that are pre sold. I have gotten stuck with several each year, would not be a problem if they were large or 3xl as I can use them. Let me know what you guys think and want.to do. also we have to have a minimum of 24 to have them made.
    • You can email me at jimmy@46redsled.com. I do have a PayPal if you all are interested?

So there it is Sports Fans T shirt info on contact and prices. Remember IF YOU DON'T PRE ORDER AND PRE PAY, YOU DON"T GET A T SHIRT.
Also bring charcoal for that big old grill, and if you can find a little room in your truck for it, then throw in a few sticks of firewood also.
It's always a fun event, and looks to be even bigger and better this year. YALL COME, YA HEAR?

Here is the one from '12, I believe it is the same design but with the date changed.

Scot, you are correct, the design will be the same with new date, is what Jimmy told me. I'm going to order 3 as soon as I get the sizes from my son for his and his wife's, and their color choice. They should be on way back from FL trip now.
Looks like we'[ll have a father/son race between the 2 of us if all goes well. Wonder if there has been one @ RWYB in the past?
Cabbage, to handle the gnats during their season you gotta learn how to talk like a South GA native. What you've always thought was a lisp in their speech is reall the result of a lifetime of learning to talk while blowing air out of the corners of mouth up across face to blow gnats away!

Hmm I wonder if Jamie and Jimmy has given it a go, but I sure wish I could've run my Dad. I would've been in my '67 Stepside that has a pretty healthy 355 in it versus the '35 Dodge with the 383 stroker

Mounted the slicks on my Amer. Daisy wheels today after going thru a chinese fire drill about tube stem holes in the rims last week. Will do a trial mount on BGII tomorrow. Damn, them ****ers look big!!!!

Yeah the steering is now pretty much where it needs to be, although at some time in the future I plan to remove tierod again and shorten another quarter inch or so and then use the special taps Josh has to tap them a little deeper. That way if I ever find the need to try actual toe out I will have the adjustment range to do so. Expect my next tires will be radials (please don't tell the trad police on me) and I understand they need less toe in than bias ply. I'm at 1/8" toe in now and don't have any adjustment left towards toe out. When Josh and Tim came down a few weeks ago to pick up the milling machine I had found for Josh, the 3 of us set it up with double lock nuts on the tie rod like I had done already on drag link. Actually Josh and Tim did the work, and I "stupidvised" except for the lathe work..
Put the slicks on BGII today for a trial fit, and lo and behold! All my measuring and figgering was correct and I have about 1.250" clearance between inner tire sidewall and fenderwell panel, just about right, I think. Also scored a piece of 6" steel pipe to cut for a hoop for my drivesghaft loop. That Crown Vic police special aluminum driveshaft I had shortened for BGII is just too fat for the loop in the kit I got from Mulette. But I can use the "wings" from the kit along with a hoop off the pipe for a fine driveshaft loop installation. Things are looking good!

I am going to wash mine. Then a couple of days, before the event. I will put my new tires on. Plus I am waiting to see what the weather will be. Then I can choose, which trailer we are going to use.

    Sounds like a plan Dave.

It seems as if I am going to have to nix the slicks this year. Just can't justify spending that kind of dough for one day out of the year. Still fun fun fun so 13.70's will have to suffice  Hopefully I can cut the reaction time down and work on the 60' times.

Aw man, I was afraid of that. That's pretty much the same size as my Hoosiers. I am trying to go smaller in hopes of not being so boggish off of the line. The ones I was looking at were 26" tall. I will check them out if you still have them in Nov though.

Good deal!!!!!!!! Glad you found some wheels, now find some slicks, cause I don't want you using street tires against my slicks for an excuse when I blow the doors off that Dodge!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! Seriously though, glad you were able to score some wheels.
Started in again today on the driveshaft hoop and was making good progress when my eyegl***es fell apart and I had to quit and go get thm fixed.
Still gotta get a line-loc on it also.

You're definitely hurting off the line. Between those tall, heavy tires, tight converter, and rear gear ratio, they're all ganging up on you.

Yup, you nailed it Dave. Although the 3.73:1 rear gear should be suffice, the tall and heavy tires kill that. Hopefully the shorter, lighter slicks will accomplish two things, loosen up the converter and make the gear a bit steeper. Not sure what that is going to do to my trap speed, but it should help all the way around. Thankfully I do still have that third pedal under the dash. And next year it just may have three pedals again like hot rods ought to have anyways.
