I am currently running 3x2 97's on a 276 ,Isky max 1 ,block work and it gets 21 mpg with progressive linkage.street performanc is exellent. Runs like a bear. But with a stocker, I would suggest staying with 2x2's.I had a worn out stocker in my 32 hi-boy when I first built it. Needed something to work out new car bugs until I finished the 276er. I ran 2x2,s with 94's and it ran supprisingly well if you could stomach the oil smoke oder.
