On my 37 caddy,i need to finish my running boards,i have a repro set of rubber strips to put on them,it is made up of 4 different peices, what is the best kind of glue to use,i know a contact cement is propably best, anyone have a brand recommendation?.I know this is a bandaid solution, but it is all i can get for this car, cant afford some of the rubberized sets that some can do. Thanks Harvey

When I re did the running boards on my 32 Hupp I used a rubber cement that was supplied by the same place that sold the covering. I would think any supplier that sold running board covers for any make would have the correct glue.

I used 3M contact glue on the Chevy's I built in the past. Worked well with no problems.

I've always used a contact cement type,,3M or something similar.make sure you use it on both surfaces. HRP

3- M makes a "Black " contact cement that I have used in the past for re attaching weather stripping . As it's been mentioned already, apply a small amount to BOTH surfaces before applying the parts together ! scrubba
