I recently bought a set of Lincoln/F2 backing plates.

What do I have to do to the brakes inorder to run them instead of the original 1 3/4" brake shoe'd backing plates?

Oops forgot to mention - the drums are the type that have the hubs on the outside

    Thanks

  3. Mark you probably won't be able to use those drums but I have done that by using Buick finned drums on '48 style hubs. Also the new aftermarket drums like Speedway sells are supposed to work with 2 inch shoes..Hope that helps...Lynn

    Thanks Lynn

I had a feeling I might have to replace the drums , and probably the hubs too.
