Something I have been using to remove rust, I have not seen discussed before, on H.A.M.B. I have been using MILKSTONE REMOVER & ACID RINSE from tractor supply co. It is used to clean milking machines. I dilute it 10 to 1 with water. It cleans surface rust on steel parts when immersed. Here are pictures of my 40 ford bumpers. They both had surface rust. I used a rag soaked with about a 5 to 1 mix. I kept the bumpers wet, with some light rubbing. IMG_2027.JPG IMG_2040.JPG

Well! That would be a nice thing to dip my 28/9 tudor body panels in. I have a lot of rot and rust, need to neutralize the rot and get the body stable for body work.

Looking at the label, it's a little over 50% phosphoric acid, which is commonly used and sold as rust removers.
Fair price at $13 a gallon.

You can use washing soda (available in grocery or hardware store) after de-rusting, to neutralize and stop the acid from working on the metal.
