I recently traded for a 57 Chevy Panel truck that had been sandblasted and never painted. The truck has sat outside for at least 3 monthes and is now covered with surface rust (of course). I'm not real crazy about getting it sandblasted again. My question is, would the Eastwood and other rust dissolvers work effectively on a project of that scope? Thanks in advance for your input.

  2. Ospho and steel wool work well on surface rust. I don't know about the long term though. There is at least one thread on the board somewhere.

I thought there would be, I couldn't find it though. I've had pretty good luck with the Ospho on smaller projects.

you will have to DA it or re sand blast it, it should not cost much to blast it, just a light blast.
