Does anyone know of any companies reproducing the tail light license plate sheet metal panel on the back of 60 impalas, bel airs, biscaynes? I've found most every other panel for them except that one and they are prone to rust and damage. Mines got some damage from a previous accident and its rusted out in a few spots. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
No repops but post a picture of what you need I might have one I can cut out of a parts car I have here.
No repos of that piece that I know of. I have looked/watched for that piece for years, no luck, finally bought a semi complete 60 IMP 4 dr HDTP and am cutting the whole rear piece out to replace my customized piece, (Dodge tail lights). The alum trim is also hard to find and expensive. Good luck!! Dave
I need the whole lower section from about the middle of the taillights down. mines rusted out in several places and its bent near the license plate recess.
Mines customized also but I dont mind that I just want the rust fixed and the bent part fixed. I still have my aluminum panel that goes behind the lights. Mine has Pontiac Bonneville lights so I'm not worried about the light portions just the bottom section.
Bonneville TLs were popular back then as well as the Dodge. Mine has some rust issues there too. Mine will have 3 working tail/brake lights like I did in 60. Am going to make them sequentional also like the Cal Spec and Shelby Mustangs.
if someone is making one, it more than likely does not fit for **** anyways. did the tail light piece on a 64 Impala using an aftermarket patch.. had to cut it up and weld it all back together, it wasn't even close. this same car needed the trunk "rain gutters" on the sides where the weather strip seal goes. I searched ebay for people parting out a 64 and started emailing guys until I found one who would cut that part out for me. sent him a picture and outlined specifically what I wanted in photoshop.
