(koolkemp quote)Its at the post office the pinheads wouldnt deliver it to the house lol ! I live in the country and cant get home in time before they close so a friend is gonna pick it up today or tomorrow, I cant wait ! So are you talking completely finished for sept? That would be really great to see, ol Rusty wont be finished but should be roadworthy next summer, I will be done messing around with the Chevy by the end of the month then I got a shitload of stuff to do for Rusty, mainly take it apart and finish up and paint the frame and underside of the car and blast the front clip and doors and ...and...and well you get the idea

Steve so your post office is afraid to enter your neck of the woods? Hmmmm?LOL. I outlined the skirt so you can cut it out.The actual skirt is sort of flat, very little contour on the face.I can send you pics if you need them.Yes ,trying to get it done for the Motorama.Last years show was cool.

Minor update but an update none the less ! I got my grille in the mail last week...42 Ford :D really happy to find one, got it off the classifieds here on the HAMB thanks GreenMonster 48 ! And special thanks to BanditoMerc he traced out the profile of his original 41 Ford skirts and mailed it to me from Cali so I can use the pattern to make some for Rusty. Thanks again Dave very much appreciated!!

And heres its future home..I dont have a 42 surround but I have 2 crappy 47 grilles and have some ideas to cut them up to make a new one for the 42 grille...also my much better shape Plymouth front bumper will be here from Ont next weekend! I cant wait to wrap up the Chevy and get back onto Rusty...

And one of my "new" skirts :D

Glad the Lyrica is helping. Just remember that it's masking things so don't hurt it!

Oh no about the ankle! Give her my best.
Believe it or not, my son broke his 3 weeks ago. Trying to get in better shape, walking to work. Bad steps at his apartment crumbled and down he went.

    Hard to be human.

I tell people all the time... Weddings are bad for you!!
Will she need surgery? My son was lucky and they decided it was close but not bad enough for that.

The T body is on a stand. It's "together". Got doors (I made) hung and the back section is in place. Been cutting the sides to match the doors and adding reinforcing stuff (thanks to Fred) to the sides.
Nothing is finished but you need everything in place to place everything. You know how it is.
Funny thing is one of those sides I got from you (which were still bolted to the back section) was longer than the other! Now let me tell you THAT messed me up for a bit. ;)
Many thanks again for those pieces. I wouldn't have done this without them.
So I guess you could say this is YOUR fault! ;)

The link in my signature shows some ROUGH pics. Everything mocked up and most taken with a cheap cell phone. Maybe that's good. It hides the work.
Hope to have the body shell "ready" by the end of summer and get the chassis done this winter.

The pics look great Joe ! I bet you will have the only metal T rod in NS when shes on the road :D Keep at it eh! They told her not likely that she will need surgery but I have to take her in to the hospital on Tues am she has one of those air boot casts right now ,they said if they werent happy with the progress she will get a traditional cast ...

Thanks, Steve... I can't imagine there are too many steel Ts rodded here but there are a number of restored ones. I bet none with a '27 cowl and a '13 back section!
I hope to roll the body outside and take some full shots this week after I get the drivers side done. It should be ready for filler by the end of the week if all goes well.

I hope Mrs. Kool has a reasonable time of it. Nasty things to break.
So are you the chief cook and bottle washer too? No wonder you aren't working on the cars much.

Broke my ankle putting a Chrysler in the back of my pickup. Didn't get the surgery. Now my left foot is 1/2 size larger than my right. So I have a loose right shoe all the time. Just mt experience.

Thanks Rusty!! I'm not good at managing a thread so I just toss it in my signature line and it's there for those who wish to see it.
I worked on it today but just structural stuff. It's getting real solid though. :)
    More pics later this week.

RichFox.. that just sounds nasty. Hard to be human.

Ya, I keep threatening to sell wire to him. Hope you get to be back in the garage soon Steve. We miss the updates.
In the meantime we'll keep the thread alive as we can.

I still have that cowl for you, Steve. Not sure when I'll pass by with a trailer though.
But you don't need it yet do you? You aren't starting a new project yet.
    Are you????????????????????????
    Never know! ;)

hahah Ya, you have. At least I've made some progress now!

Seeing Fitzee and Bill in the T on their way back to NFLD earlier this summer has been a great motivator.
For now I'll stick to a PhotoBucket link and leave the build threads to you guys who do such amazing work.

    Real world?
What is this real world you speak of?

Shoot Fred an email. Ya never know what trades could happen.

Off to the garage I go. :)

Wow, you've definitely inspired me. That is quite an acomplishment from my standpoint, thanks for sharing your work! I get overwhelmed, it seems, sometimes and just don't know where to start. Sometimes I just get frustrated and quit. My 55 has a fair amount of rust in the floors and inner rockers, floor supports. I do have a real nice doner floor from a four door, which is pretty much the same except for upper rocker.

Hello Steve.Take nice and slow...but not to slow. The car looks badd ass, that grille will look good , are you sinking it in? I built a frame from 3/4" tubing with tabs welded to it and the extended grille(check out my pics of my grille area) ,worked out great.Hope you get better soon.

Thanks guys ! No real updates ,unless you call stripping the lemans donor car an update lol ! I spent 3 months getting the 51 Chevy made over and am now trying to get all the shit around the house done that I didnt do last summer cause I worked on the Ford all summer  .Just finished a proper repaint of the front wall of the garage on tues, and I am trying to get some landscaping done around the side of the shop to better store projects (and keep the neighbors happy) . Not sure about the grille yet Dave, I have a few of the 46-48 top surrounds (the piece of tin) and may cut them up to make a new one or I might make my own from scratch or I might sink it like you did...I will have to get the old one out first and start messing around with it. I am gonna pull the doors off soon and do a bit of finish welding ,then blast em for some primer and mud!
