Thanks for all the well wishes last weekend everyone ! 3 more till thae half century mark  !

Since I couldnt get enough primer on it last weekend, and had to re-shoot it anyways I spent a few hours this week blocking ,straightening, filling pin holes...more blocking etc etc . Its just alot less bodywork I will have to do later, its good enough till I can get back to it. I even got the sides of cowl stripped, repaired some holes at the base of the windshield, and got the drivers door off and finished a bit of welding at the bottom of the cowl...doesnt look like alot of progress but its more work out of the way !

Now I have to save up some cash to buy some more epoxy before I strip anything else to bare metal!

When you get to be my age, some things become very sensitive...

    This should be properly titled...

Yeah, but when the car's done, it should be /exciting/ if you know what I mean. I think the thread title started out as a typo but now it is a subtle pun & should be left alone.

My dad had a 47 sedan, He got rid of it in the mid 90's
Wish I would've hung on to it.

I always get real excited when they get to be all one color again.

Impressive as hell to take a rust bucket like you had to start with and bring it back to this point.

    Well struck indeed, sir.

Thanks Fitzee, I am really happy with how its starting to look! On to the doors and front clip next!

Thanks ...I keep telling myself I dont need to be too fussy with the bodywork at this stage of the game but sometimes I just cant help it !

If it had not been raining yest i would have got it outside foe a few pics

    :D :D I like it lol!

They arent expensive go find another!

    Thanks!

Can't tell you how much I'm impressed with your work and more importantly your eye for the lines and detail! It's just perfect.

I think a DARK green, a DARK red, or a Black would look great.. if you catch my drift :D

Looks great Steve! Wish I had your body skills, I struggle with it.
As for the double entendre thread title? Always knew it just meant that Rusty would rise again! :D

Those are prolly the top 3 colors ....and maybe a dark blue, but I agree DARK is the most appealing...it really is driving me nuts lol!

I am in no way a trained or professional bodyman...just lots of self taught experience...if I can do it you can too! Its only metal,if you cut it too short just weld it back together, much more forgiving than woodworking !

Thanks Jeff!! I would love to have it in Moncton this summer but it just cant happen ...mostly due to money(or lack there of!)
