Lol I already have that figured out gonna tell them it was an ultra rare Monarch coupe... I even have the Monarch only hood ornament for it to back up my claim!

    For F*&% sake Steve!

    The car looks fantastic!

I actually had to go back and look through the thread to remind myself that this was a sedan. I am sitting here in awe.....Damn good work Steve. I don't know how else to articulate what I am getting at. You know better than all of us what time and effort this took. I am amazed at the transformation.....still.

As a side note, what is the engine angled at? Looks steep, prolly my beer goggles..

Alcohol doesn't help with an emotionally unstable person in love with cars....makes us sound crazy.....good night folks

Thanks Jaws, it freaks me out to go back over the pics...when the whole thing started I was hoping to have the 4 door beater done in less than 2 yrs lol!I noticed that with the engine too its been added to my to do list, I swapped the springs for a set with some leaves removed and there is still a few hundred lbs of sand in the trunk and the front clip missing its sittingpretty low in the back....of coarse I may have forgot the trans mount too :D

Spent another couple of days on the front clip and got it filled and primed.

The front pan still needs work but at least now it wont rust...might even cut the front part off and make a new one....

Got some paint similar to POR given to me for free :D so I used it on the insides of the clip after I blasted it inside and out..

I just had to lay the grille in for one last pic! I am still looking for a set of the 42-47 truck ribbed headlight rings stainless or presentable chrome to help finish the front end, any leads appreciated !!

How'd you make out on the 35/36 parts. I'm not a Ford guy, but I'd love to have a 35/36 3 window, late 40s style taildragger custom. I'm certain you would build one up right and I can live vicariously through you!!

That more door is now the sweetheart of the ball!! What a great accomplishment.

PS My 42 convert got the nailhead, '54 dash, tilt steering. That is enough for this old man...time to go to Arizona.

    Thanks eh!

    Thanks Jim

Thanks Joe ! I forget what its called at the moment but a friend picked it up in Carlisle and only needed a bit, so he gave me almost 2 quarts so I am using it up lol. I know a place that is starting to carry the POR stuff in Sackville..

I have lusted after a 3 window for a long time, I will have to find the pics I took, and will post them, the wife downloaded the camera and I couldnt find them last night

Thanks Russ, we need to see some pics of the progress on the 42 then!!

Thanks Eli! Looks just like your rendering eh!

I wish lol! Well it was a Ford and it was a coupe...39 standard, man it was rotten, and all apart. It was the property owners son's car he said the hood and fenders were stored indoors but the rest is pretty far gone.I could not get a price ,his son is workin in the states right now so he said he would call me after he talks to him.I could use the trunk area/upper quarters and rear fenders too. Hopefully it wont be too expensive ...almost all of the front of the roof ,and the top of the cowl and most of the pass quarter are rotted away, plus its been sitting on the ground, off the equally rotten frame. The old fellow is a body guy for over 50 yrs lots of neat tools and projects he was doing for people, I must have spent close to 2 hrs yacking with him, hes redoing a 49 Ply bus coupe hes had since 1964.

Nice work on the clip, as usual. So glad your back is allowing you to work. Chevy project is stalled for Life reasons, counting on you crazy Canadians to get after it this winter for my build fix!:D

Yeah it does! I think this looks much cleaner than the factory stuff, plus I'm sure you'll have a few old farts looking at it and trying to figure out just what you did. lol
