Got any pictures of those builds? I'm always interested in seeing 2 door conversions.

If you do find pictures, let me know, I'd really like to see them. What kind of cars were they? I think stuff like that, and like your coupe roof swap, are going to be the wave of the future. I've done a couple, and have a couple more planned.

Just a quick update here...I got the block & tackle set up in the rafters fairly quick tonight so I thought i would start messing around with the fit of the roof section...it lines up great at the windshield need to trim about 1/8th on drivers side and less on the pass , its sitting too high in the back as I didnt start to trim the sedan body yet but i am pretty stocked to see it fit this close already without any trimming yet :D Hopefully tomorow night I will get it fitted and a few tack welds, I cant wait to roll it out into the driveway for an outside look! Sorry but I am pretty stocked :D:D:D

Koolkemp where abouts are you in Nova Scotia? Myself and Hackerbilt will be taking in Moncton Nationals this year and we have to drive through your part of the woods. How far from the TCH are you wouldn`t mind seeing all your projects and talking rust with someone who understands that a good car is one that is good from the door handles up!!

Dang Steve.. that IS something to be stoked about! What a transformation, even just sitting on top. Exciting. (I got the trans. cross member tacked up enough to hold things up today and that was enough excitement for me. )

I think if you show the Dodge you will have more than your wife kickin your butt to get at it. ;) Hey... it's only $$ and time. Right?

It would be way cool to meet the guys from "The Rock" some time. I have my HAMBAndy stickers and plaque waiting to go on my T.. once I get enough of the T to put it on!
Fitzee.. "Cruizer" would be glad to welcome you to Steve's, I'm sure. You'll see, right Steve?

Rick said he was hoping to get at his Falcon this weekend. Work getting in the way. ;)

Best frontman in the world!! Even have him tatooed on my arm . Been a huge fan for over 30 yrs...still like the band but its just not the same without him there, almost like 2 completely different bands, I wish they would pry open the vaults at Albert and release some more unheard stuff....and finally give him his due credit for his part of Back In Black...theres no way BJ wrote any of those lyrics , even Bons Mom says most of it was written by Bon. I even bought all the Aussie stuff as imports way back in High School do get the different cuts and versions! Suffice to say his tunes are a close 2nd to my automotive love lol!

I think there is widespread agreement the albumn was written when BJ auditioned. I recall reading something Angus wrote that the lyrics were ready, BJ came in one day picked them up and back the next and nailed it. They were great with Bon (my first albumn was TNT at 8) but Im not sure they would have been as huge without BJ.

Have done a LOT of research re 500 caddy motors. Cheap, 30lbs heavier then a SBC when you use an alum intake and mucho grunto. Just a thought ;) Lots of info on here re them plus links to other sites. Maybe worth a look....

The last few interviews I have read/heard they claim Bon was just playin the drums for the new tracks when he died...they claimed Brian wrote all the new lyrics in the Bahamas , he never wrote a lyric for Geordie and hasnt been credited with anything in AC-DC for years...cause hes not a song writer , never has been never will be. Unfortunately Bons death sold alot of records...nothing to boost sales more than dying ! I saw them last summer for about the 10th time, still a great show , 30 yrs after he died and almost half the songs they played were written by Bon ( more if ya count the BIB stuff!) kinda says it all for me :).

I have had a couple of Cads for the motors , had a low mileage rust bucket 500 but had sell it when I moved across the country, that ol 500lb plus rust bomb would still smoke the tires ! I even bought it from a cheesy Elvis impersonator !!

I decided to work on the pass side first, its by far the worst...in addition to the rust the B pillar was bent and twisted at the bottom, so I cut off the rot and straightened it out...after alot of adjusting measuring and eyballing I was happy with wher it was so I tacked some bracing on the inside of the pillar to hold it in place so I could start to fit the bottom of the sedan B pillar.

As you can see I had straps and clamps all over the damn thing...took a good 2 hours to get to the point that I was able to start some welding.

After the pillar was in place I started the tedious job of slicing through the 2 layers of quarter panel then butt welding it all together, when I had that over half done and nice and solid , I de-skinned the pass rear door to start the repair on the quarter panel below the side window.

Lots of measuring & cutting & re-cutting etc etc and I started to fit the "repair" panel in place...oh yeah I also cleaned all the factory toxic tar off the back side of it before I started to weld it on
