$#%@&^! Rusty Bolts... wonder if this would work?

    I was just about to suggest that. I got the bolts out of the door hinges of a 36 plymouth truck cab. It had been sitting in a field for a least 50+yrs.

    Craftsman sells the set I have. Hammer on, twist out, done!
     
  2. Just weld some bolts to them with the threaded side welded to the rusty bolt heads. You'll be done in 10 minutes. Make sure to replace them with Stainless Bolts. I have the Craftsman "Bolt Out" Remover set, works well 70% of time.

    Also, before twisting a rusty, or tight bolt out, always give the head a couple of direct taps with a punch & hammer, it really helps to loosen them up.

    better use anti seize if you use stainless.

    Irwin makes them too, available at Ace Hardware, and they are life savers. You do not want to impact them though, they will shatter.
