Greenblade is my 20 year old son who bought his first hotrod last year and joined the H.A.M.B. to do***ent his build and try to learn a few things from this group. He’s digging deep into the archives, at least he’s doing this and not out trying to score the next hit of meth or something as stupid. He’s a good kid that wants to be a part of this crowd.

I like bofum! I don't have a problem with red wheels, I like them with the blue. Don't be swayed to paint them black, any color but black, black wheels are for copycats!

I would stay with the painted steel. Red wheels were overdone in the early sixties, but even if they are common a**** our H.A.M.B. cars they are not that common overall. They looked pretty good back then and still do. I never had them back then as I thought they were too commonplace on the mild customs/hot rods. I was a black wheel guy, and I still am. …but not exclusively

I gotta say, I really like the red with the blue. I've always liked red wheels either with full covers or caps, car/truck color doesnt matter. And as for your son, its great to see him digging around for knowledge, I like reading threads that havent surfaced for a while, keeps me from scrolling thru pages of "stuff" just to find something interesting. My son, Sonofamitch, used to do the same thing, that was his knowledge base. Keep it up Greenblade.....Mitch.

The shiny wheels saw the most miles. Actually the tires on the red wheels are 13/14 years old and have perfect tread but ide hate to have a blow out and take out a fender with an old tire. I was actually thinking a set of bias look excelsior would really chance the look of the car.

In my opinion the tire and wheel combination (shiny) absolutely can't be improved upon. The stance and the way the
tires fill up the fenders is perfect!
