You like that? The engine builder fired the motor on the center carb. Don’t know why he ran hose to the other carbs but I suppose he just wanted the ports closed off.

With a bit of work I now have the T-5 mated to the motor. Time to drop it in the frame and get to work on the clutch linkage and measure driveshaft length. A3389E9C-7600-4360-8C67-6424AB846CE0.jpeg 7DDC3C36-BF37-4423-859C-29E5D3BF482B.jpeg 4EB88ADC-BD04-4322-9B53-372CFCF19951.jpeg

The bullet is in the chamber. Now to fabricate the clutch linkage, measure driveshaft and mock-up a radiator model to send to brassworks. 8F3C1F76-E425-4D89-BCB5-0328ED4D8F89.jpeg 76C27F60-89D7-4199-8097-AAEC728BF0CF.jpeg ED2DC72E-B006-4D87-9DB8-96D268FF65DC.jpeg 4DE6E0C1-F2D2-4E4F-9A0C-547A4FD466C7.jpeg 6C2FEDFA-611B-44A0-8F16-6964D1F24B05.jpeg

I have the clutch assembly all put together. A little more tweaking and bending and it should be done. 0B584213-56E0-428E-B130-8D167ADE0FF7.jpeg AD1F3CCC-C33C-41F7-AF23-417C19AAF6EC.jpeg

Started building a radiator mock up to send to brassworks. Since I built the front crossmember to get the stance I wanted I can’t use an out of the box T radiator. Brassworks will make a custom unit for me but there lead time is 20 weeks so I had better get this thing finished and sent off. Lee at brassworks said the core will be 3-1/2” thick. Enough to kool this flat motor.

Plywood radiator template is built, boxed and sent to brassworks. A work order has been filed and the anticipation starts. Lot of other things to do in the twenty weeks of radiator build time. C8B3065F-EAF4-4F44-83C0-59CCFA35F266.jpeg

Should be done before the LARS Father's Day show. Maybe a road trip to SoCal for the event and then up to the Central Coast to p/u the radiator? Just a thought:cool:

My lathe motor blew up about a year and a half ago and I’ve been dragging my feet getting it up and running. Finally got a motor and wired up a few nights ago. Turned my fist piece in along time this afternoon, it’s a nice bell that transitions the steering wheel disconnect to the column. 6E697CDD-86C1-4DB7-A131-CAE199C91C8E.jpeg 0AF64CC2-372D-434D-A219-4F639F5A2A29.jpeg

I'm definitely interested in any info you can post about your steering wheel quick disconnect. My '27 project will use an old Bell four spoke wheel that is 17" around, and fitting into the seat will be quite a maneuver. I don't want a quick disconnect that looks new, but if I need to buy a new one I'm sure I could make it look older. What brand is yours, and do you like it? Does it fit tight?

This is a speedway motors disconnect. This is the second T I’ve built both are using this part. It does have a bit of play but I guess it doesn’t bug me. I’ll easy off the anodizing off and polish to match the bell.

Sheetmetal is not my forte but I told myself I’m going to try and build this transmission hump/cover. To be truthful it’s not turning out to bad. It’s going to be covered with some sort of floor covering anyways. 0190C6D1-33A3-4850-9E15-28723FDC997D.jpeg 28E37489-DF23-4333-8C7D-45631A66C6E2.jpeg B59922E8-E7D5-4A9F-BBB0-105E4B8509F3.jpeg

It’s a must. It’s so damn tight in there even with the foot well there’s not much room. I wanted to make it lower but I’m almost on the transmission the way it is.

Transmission cover is fabbed now to get it all welded up. Also turned some caps for the 35-6 driveshaft headers. C94F1F45-EF8E-4F43-A66D-D36420EDD9D6.jpeg 96D73710-5CB9-4025-89B8-5CB5D1E37455.jpeg BC14A687-2620-4D97-8EE6-03CB2BE33DE2.jpeg

  29. Funny/ironic, I have a shorter one that is almost the same that I made for my old Touring and forgot to install after I cut the shaft and finished the column!

I have three pedals now in this very tight space. Going to have to wear my chucks or vans because my boots are having a hell of a time fitting. 4CC74276-F2F0-451D-8178-74EB5FAAE819.jpeg 22FD1CD2-1F13-4383-9022-0A75E5F089F1.jpeg
