The impending weather kept me from driving my roadster this year. I'm hoping to come down
next year. It would be good to meet up with you again.
As quickly as your progressing on your T, maybe it will be finished in time for Pleasanton in August.
It's hard to believe it was nearly six years ago I met you and your "pops". I hope he's doing well.

I know time flys. I don’t think two trips to California are in the budget.

I got the motor put in the other day. Pulled my headlight wires through to frame and a bunch of small stuff. Body heads to the painter this coming week. 11A03A4D-3EAF-4480-970A-D6B77301DF06.jpeg E6F37AA4-8D50-4C49-8670-8249745F53D1.jpeg 087F245F-687A-4DAB-B68D-8E0A42BD377E.jpeg 3328C8CA-7B1A-4A67-9BEF-F79C11E383B0.jpeg

Took the body to my buddy Jamie’s for paint tonight. Was so excited to get it there I forgot to take pictures.

Wow! That's a huge step in your build. Your hard work is really paying off.
It's definitely come a long way.

Two years and seven months so far. Not to bad for a self proclaimed hobbiest, garage builder, hack.

Sure looks like it's a lot easier when the body is up-side-down.

My good buddy Randy took my steering wheel home after I reringed it with a smaller ring. I had started filling it back in with jb weld epoxy and randy finished it off with some filler. I was cleaning up the center and threw it on the polisher and it really took on a shine. It’s a real bitch to get the original finish off around the spokes and repolish but the final product is going to be kick ass. 6E16E841-C7F9-4657-958D-76D888A212D2.jpeg D7042C85-F560-4EDA-A506-F2A00F7034D3.jpeg E32C1D40-BBBC-4573-8FA1-5562B8761F79.jpeg

No, in reality it’s been epoxy primed and a coat of hi build and now it’s going back together to start the fit on the turtle deck.

While the body is at the painter I’ve been doing a few little things on the car but it’s pretty much been at a standstill. My wife blew her knee out the first part of March and had her ACl reconstructed last Thursday so I’ve been doing my best to take care of her needs.
I got the radiator mounted and needed to get lower rad hoses. I don’t think the average person realizes how something as simple as a rad hose is really a pain in the ass! I made a simple model of the shape I needed by using an old tube of caulking and some tape. I took it to my local Napa parts store and my parts guy and I went in back and started going thru all the hoses till we found the right bends. So we found a two foot long hose and I cut 6” out of it for what I needed x’two being it’s a flathead. $50 for two short hoses! 21. Sorry to hear about the wife Rusty. Now you get a chance to show her how good you are on the domestic side.:)
Went to Napa for a belt this week. Needed a 56 1/2 inch piece for the 31. My cost at garage price was $28. And to think I used to sell Goodyear belts at the store for $8 back in '09.

My son Brooks surprised me Friday with a kool gift, it's a tool check out chit from the river Rouge plant. I have several Ford wrench’s that I’ve hung on the wall so Brooks thought that would be kool to add to the collection. I had another idea, I’m going to use it on the roadster. When I added the short throw shifter I had to cover it somehow so I used the tin off an old 50 Ford horn. The piece had a hole in it where the wiring went thru and I was going to cover it with something and now I have the piece. I think it’s a kool piece of Ford history. 828C99B7-288A-465A-BBAC-20B888F1D7C3.jpeg 04531608-E86F-4629-B600-DDBD4C897D90.jpeg 432D701B-EA3B-4FC4-838A-BA7F70E46032.jpeg

Jamie the painter is a really good friend of mine so it’s tuff when things aren’t going as fast as I would want them to go. We actually had a conversation a few weeks ago about friendship and working for a friend. I know what I want and he is not offended by my expectations.

Super slow progress! I’m getting really impatient with the progress of the body. My buddy ripped through the frame paint job and now the body is taking forever. Says he has one more prime and block and then color. Yeah I wish it were that easy. It’s super close, I’m just impatient.
