Not much done lately. I did get the dash filled so we can use the forty column and drop. I also filled the area where the shift rod came through the drop. It’s not the most attractive column but we are using what we have. A070298F-C0CB-4639-B942-7620C2EBDBC2.jpeg 718F8034-58B8-4083-B46E-B39DDAFA94B5.jpeg 7BC5F033-445A-4FAA-ACCA-D01008C16A79.jpeg

We will run this guy. D9C2B075-969D-406A-8D14-7594FA1C41E2.jpeg We will be using a race car disconnect on the wheel so you can get in thru the door so I will turn a bell for the column to flow into the disconnect. That way it will not look chunky and out of place.

  6. Nice wheel Rusty, matches the one I am using for the '31. I believe it came out of a 35.

I started working on the trunk floor this afternoon. I bought a 4x10 sheet of 16 gauge last Friday afternoon and just about soiled my shorts when the salesman said that will be $310 dollars. I said holy shit $310 and he said yeah in the last 10 months prices have just about tripled. I guess ya got to pay to play. 61F4C374-2C9E-4CCA-A9BB-D426669C95A3.jpeg

Worked on the floor a bit more today. (Sorry Brooks I got inpatient and bead rolled by myself) I still have to break a piece of metal to attach to the back of the seat panel for the front of the trunk floor to sit on. Nice build. I saw it at the Count's show. Hope to see it around the Hills this summer.

I had the body sandblasted last week. We found a bit more rust but that’s to be expected. I took out the old floor Beneath the seat and made a new one. We have a lead on another turtle deck so I’ve been waiting to order sheet metal until I see the other one. I also have the frame boxed and almost fully welded but it’s been slow going. Started building front floorboards and transmission hump. I had a piece of exhaust pipe that I quartered to get a nice radius on the hump. I’m not talented enough to stretch a piece of metal to get the look I’m after so the exhaust pipe will do the job. 35252E74-AEDA-4862-8446-9119BB7A13A7.jpeg DD4AD5C0-D63D-4003-8D51-57F9A5636C89.jpeg

I have the transmission hump done until I get the firewall done and then I can tie everything together. 52B8992F-E873-4ED7-AE2B-57DEBC6BD6CD.jpeg C604C60A-ED1D-436E-92CD-E167B736CD7C.jpeg I got a new model A crossmember hump to cover the rear crossmember and I also used the original model T hump to give me clearance for the rear end. 2F7A395D-35DC-4230-A347-2417E5D5C3C5.jpeg

Nice work Rusty. Are the pedals coming up through the floor? It seems you have given yourself maximum room at the toeboard area and with the low tunnel it may make the gas pedal location easier...

The trans hump looks great. Pretty cool idea with the exhaust tubing.
