RV battery question...VANS tour.

I'm trying to help out the VANS RV that is having issues with the4 battery's on the drivers side rear.

Are the connected with 4 battery's all positive or chasing positive ground?

4 6volt batts . each pair hooked in series for 12 V the pair. If the RV is newer than the 80s system should be neg ground. The 2 pairs are then normally hooked in series for large capacity. I'm guessing diesel powered.

The 4 are for the coach power and the black ones are for the diesel. Have owned rv from the 70's and have never seen a pos ground.
