Dave is the roadster ready?

 

Scot the roadster ain't gonna make it again, thanks to the back surgery and the broken wrist which required surgery also. I'm still under Dr.'s care on both and can't pick up more than 10#. If the car was ready to run, which it ain't, I wouldn't try to race it, not with a 4 speed occupying my right hand and that broken wrist on my left. No telling where I might wind up!

Bringing to the top from Utah,wish I could be there.Hoping to hook up with the rolling bones on the salt.

 

Maybe you'll see a few familiar faces out on the salt as there is a caravan of Sock ****ers heading that way to Bonneville very soon. I wish I could make that trek but it ain't in the cards this go round.

Just a little info for swap meet vendors:
First off, it's still only $10 a head to get in , with or without parts to sell, only extra cost to anybody is another $10 to race!
No designated space size, use all that you need on a first come first pick basis. You can set up under the shade trees where the Sock ****ers and friends set up and camp, or you can set up by the return road, which is midway between the shade trees and the fence at the side of the strip. And if you want to watch the cars as they race while you display and hopefully sell some parts, you can set up at the strip fence, it's up to you!
Hopefully things will one day grow enough that we will need to exercise a litrtle more control, but right now this is one of the most laid back, enjoy your afternoon events around.
And if you want to spend the night, then bring some camping gear and enjoy partying with us!
We always have a huge grill that Redsled gets for us where you can cook your food that evening, just bring some charcoal, that big Mutha eats it!
If you leave there without having some fun, it's your own fault!

what 1/4 times......

 

It varies mostly. I am running a leisurely 14 second 1320 @ 102 mph in the video and most are quicker than I. This is a very laid back setting where you can run as many times or as few times as you like with no pressure, eliminations or worries. There will be trophies and awards given by us. The fastest street driven nostalgia award was won by a 11 second model A sedan last year.
