    Hmm...

Pete - I'm pretty sure he sees and appreciates what we have to say. After all, when it comes to his brainchild he's pretty much omniscient.

Web boards take on the personality of their creator and admins - in this way, we know that Ryan is a top-shelf kinda guy.

Denise - I'm with you; I'm pretty sure the HAMB functions as a catalyst for a resurgence of a culture, which in its day, transcended biker culture. If'n I'm readin' the tea leaves right...It's gonna do it again, and Ryan's brainchild will be credited with providing the place for it to happen, much like Wally Parks' little rag did back in '48.

    re: big name lurkers...

We know you're out there - we even know who many of you are. We respect your need for anonymity here, so no one's gonna call you out.

    One small favor tho:

Please drop Ryan a PM and let him know how you feel about this place. He needs to hear it firsthand from his heros, 'cuz while he knows y'all are out there - I think he'd be surprised how many of y'all take this place as serious as we do.

    and Ryan...Thanks. You da man.

For us old guys who really remember what is was like "back in the day" (the 50s) traditional hot rods have always been around and the HAMB became popular because some of the younger guys (Ryan's age) were interested in them. I think what the HAMB did was to get the a lot more of younger guys interested but what many of those guys started building were their interpratation of traditional hot rods and this helped create (for lack of a better term) the rat rod movement. Whitout the HAMB I don't think it would be nearly as popular as it is today. And when the rat rod movement slows down those of us who like "real" traditional hot rods will be left here.

So what you are saying is... your covered wagon had red-oxide primer and red steelies with wide whites, on it? :D

This is the exact reason why all of this is so true, where else could you have such a generation gap, of truly great friendships. Those of which you grow to know, and can share some kind hearted ribbing with, along with some great conversations. -Joe

I know when I first logged in i never thought it would be this cool!! The Hamb has opened all kinds of doors for me. I have learned alot, shared alot, and met alot of really cool poeple from this board. The best part of all is meeting the different folks from all over the US and overseas areas in person at events. The Hamb rocks!!! Thanks Ryan for keeping it real for all of us and the members for participating in techs, auctions, Hamb Drags etc to help make this place what it is today. The Dirty's

I dont know about the rest of you guys, but I dont work with " car guys" as I have been dubbed, at work.I have some very good friends, that I get together with from time to time, and get my car fix, it just happens to be called "THE HAMB". And I know life would go on if I never new about this place, but it sure makes for a great place to hang out and I always know where to go to, get re-charged, its kinda like a good stiff drink after a hard day!Thanks-Ryan-and all the others who help.
