Just finished install of A 86 s-10 t5 speed in my 53 f-100 with 52 mercury flathead , everything went ok , except the trans first gear is 360. the rear in the truck is 392.1 when I go to take off I spin the tires , the clutch now grabs A little high , thing about going to 354.1 rear gears hope that will ease the take off in first gear , only difference in trans was the S-10 trans splines length was shorter then the stock ford 3 speed , guess that should not matter because the clutch will engage and disengage with no slip , hope the rear end gear change will make it better. I also installed power steering using A GM 400 box , kit from CCP, also Wilwood disc brakes on front , just trying to make it A good daily driver, thanks

Sounds like a great pickup project.
