S-10 vs. Gen 2 Camaro spindles

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by shovelheadrider, Dec 9, 2010.

  1. Does anybody know what the difference is between these spindles? The only thing I can think of for sure is that the brake shield and caliper threads are probably metric on the S-10.

I'm using Gen 2 Camaro (70-78) spindles on my build, and was just offered a set of 2"drop S-10's. Since I just rebuilt the front suspension, ball joint changes are out. If caliper bolts are different, either will change the bolts, change the calipers, whatever. Steering looks similar in geometry, so anybody have any ideas?

the calipers on the S-10 would be metric, the 70s Camaro are the old bigger ones.

You could go to a place like rockauto.com and look up the parts that fit the spindle, like bearings, brakes, ball joints, etc for both cars, and see if they're the same or not.
