Can anyone recommend a good tranny shop in our corner of the state that I can take my ailing 55 Olds hydramatic to?
    Thanks in advance.

The absolute BEST guy on hydros is in West Allis. Call Dunham Transmissions & get ahold of Bill. Hes semi retired now, but still comes in to do the old trannys.Hes a great guy & probably the most knowlegable guy on the antique stuff I know. Likes his beer too!!! His son Rainer runs the business now, so he can put you in touch w/ Bill. The # is: (414) 545-0777 DAVE

I forgot to mention that they have a HUGE inventory of antique tranny parts & do a great job on rebuilding torque convertors. I have used their convertors for over 20 some years & am very satisfied. DAVE
