    You know what I don't understand, is how some people can say that all "HAMB Traditional" hot rods look the same.:confused::rolleyes: I mean, cmon, you can choose from TWO colours (THREE, if you are some kinda socialist radical nut-job and include babyshit brown!) for your fenderless flathead highboy, and still be HAMB correct! Viva la diversity!!!;):D

    " I agree to accept the outcome of the (s)election, as long as Maroon wins"

    Now Douglas, don't you go and start a "Traditional Bumper Sticker" thread. :rolleyes:.

  4. I will vote (black).

    That being said , if Maroon wins , before you spray a drop, you will need to provide the ORIGINAL paper documents of authenticity from the plant where the paint was originally manufactured or else this whole (s)election is null and void.

    So you mean to say the #2 "HAMB traditional" hot rod colour is FRENCH??!! SWEET JESUS! Is NOTHING sacred??:D I guess we can at least take comfort in the fact that "Mandarin" red has fallen from favour!!!

    Build a wall high enough, and we won't have to look at what color it is.

  8. when my dad painted the firewall, wheels and dash of the '33 he said he used Chinese red. i remember buying it to paint a bicycle when i was a kid. i went looking for it again recently but i think they dropped the name due to being "politically correct". :rolleyes:

    American voters in this should be aware the rest of the world is taking a great interest in the outcome of the vote.
    This could determine how we view you from afar. Bear in mind we tend to follow what is happening with great interest. With that said I vote Maroon (if my vote is allowed from offshore).

  11. The lying maroon, is really just a shady red. This coming from the Secrete Service, who likes BLACK! Yes rct98 your vote counts. Putin just voted black too.

  13. Independent analysts and color specialists have reported that maroon is a combination of red and blue. The different shades come from different ratios. One analyst stated the addiction of black may be needed to reach the deeper shades of maroon.

    The question is doesn't that mean that maroon is a choice for people who can't decide between red or blue, those lacking the ability to commit. Or is it perhaps they long for purple but just don't have the balls to do it? And what about using black just to get the shade you want?

    Ok panel, what are your thoughts?

    I'm painting my '39 metallic pink, so I should probably disqualify myself from any questions about the ability to commit, or a lack of balls for that matter....

    I like metallic pink,,, it's a great color. On a 39? Idk have to see it.
    Every time the wife asks me what color she should do her nails, hot metallic pink is my answer. She doesn't ask me all the time though. I wore a shiny pink tie when we got married. Early 60's caddy, metallic pink I think they called it firemist. Early 70's muscle mopar, Panther pink- not metallic but close enough. The new challenger in furious fushia is real eye pop color.

    All that being said and providing you some validation, nice pivot btw.
    Back to the question ...

    '56 Lincoln Amethyst. Actually, depending on the lighting, it could be called metallic lavender too. In direct sunlight, its PINK, like pink metallic nail polish, in shade it shifts Lavender.

    (S)ELECTION 2016 UPDATE:

    Day 4 (and page 3) polling nears the end and the Maroon candidate continues to enjoy a healthy margin of the 113 votes cast thus far on this tightly contested and emotionally charged race.
    upload_2016-10-27_22-2-26.png

    Polling today indicates that this (s)election is not a merely a national issue but is attracting interest from our neighbors across the globe and around the planet. In tonight's "International Edition" (S)election 2016 looks to the world for insight and ansers.

    Rkt98 was quoted earlier from New Zealand (is there an Old Zealand?) saying;
    Well put Rkt98 and your comment as well as your vote counts here! I hope we do you proud. DDDdenny is sending me a "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for this color" bumper sticker just in case.

    Adding more fuel to the international fire tb33anda3rd added;
    Bringing to question the national origins and roots of our candidates to which clunker was quoted;
    Mahalo and here we go again!

    To Which the HAMB'S favorite Hoser form the Great White North added;
    Yes George, tradition is scared and there is a Santa Claus and this year he may very well be sliding down your chimney wearing Ford Royal Maroon if current polling trends continue.

    And finally from the small island of Ohio, 31Vicki with a hemi noted,
    (S)ELCTION UPDATE cannot validate the color wheel of facts provided or the existence of this so called Ohio.

    It is clear that color (or colour to our friends north of the border with "irritable vowel disorder") may prove to be more than just a hue but a possible key to the "hue-man" condition...at least as far as hot rods are concerned in this and other fossil fuel burning countries across the globe.

    More full color coverage to follow on (S)ELECTION 2016.

    I voted black. In my head I thought maroon but in the photos it looks better black imo. Maybe it's the contrast with all the shiny bits. In person the maroon may look better. Black should be easier to touch up and repair in case that hasn't been mentioned.

  28. I am sure that you can, I told a guy today in a very polite manner that he could virtually kiss my virtual rebel dick. :D

    Yes it is and zero (0) is not a number but you are expecting a lot today aren't you. :D

    I was looking at a glass '34 sedan back in the '90s that was black gel coat. The guy wanted to know what color I was going to paint it and I told him black. he said, "its already black." And I said, "Exactly" :D

    Don't forget. The island of Ohio is definitely one of the swing provinces. We should get double votes. But then again the Super Pacs will complain of a rigged vote and we'd have to start this mess again. "All the Agony!"
