Ride on Tower ( concreat trowel )
& also used in small air craft .
I have a Briggs , its about 18-24 inch long , water pump to crank ,
The Kubota close to same .
A place I knew had 6 machines that broke pitch controls , nothing to do with engine, they wanted to clean yard , I left to pick up pars for other equipment
Showed back up few hrs later all where gone , taken to dump
    To many chief,
I all ready had one engine out ,
    3 cuts with torch .

A friend of mine in high school built a go-kart in metal shop, powering it with a motorcycle drivetrain. He drove it home, and said it would do about 60 mph.

I have a 1978 Kubota B7100; 13 hp and a top speed of 8 mph. Fun to think about the possibilities of Kubota speed parts!

Congrats .Super cool car. That is an American Austin coupe.Bantam was a bit later with a different nose. If it ran when parked ,Get it running! They are fun! Join the Austin Bantam club. Despite all the negative comments about the spindly ch***is and under powered motor. these things handle like a Go kart in a parking lot .I have two .An unfinished restored one, and an old Comp coupe body. Go to the Club meet ,get a ride in one .They are a blast . I wanted that Ch***is Blowby had badly. A bmw 2002 combo would be a kick. They are small. Probably not small enough. Please don't strip that paint.

Cool American Austin! Was it stuck up on a pole as a dealer sign? I agree with rod1, join the club, go to the AABC national meet which is in June in Hershey this year, you'll regret not going since you're not far from there, and yes, catch a ride, they are a hoot! Just know that these club guys are all about preservation and authenticity, but you will be hard pressed to find parts without their connections. The mechanical stuff is out there but decent sheetmetal is scarce,

the paint is the reason I want it. was on display in town at the Dealership when I was a kid. I just want to try to get it running and display it with our local Historical Society.

Might want to try Richard @rg171352 on the Hamb, for some info on Bantams
I sold him a 39 Bantam 2 main bearing engine a number of years ago.
Not sure if he is still on the Hamb or not.

I will be interested to see where you go with this project. I wondered about a Jeep engine, either the flathead or F head. Torquey little (Go) Devils.

This guy used to live near me. I never met him. Always heard he was a good guy. I do not know if he is still alive.
    AUSTIN / BANTAM PARTS!
If you are going to get into these great cars, sooner or later you are going to talk to Joe. Joe DeAngelo that is. He has lots of parts and wants to see your rig on the road and running. Tell him I sent you! He says his hours are "anytime"..so, give him a call and see if you can find that taillight lens..

Joe has just posted a website (4-2-98).
Note: this site seems to fade in and out...
might be better off giving him a call if you have trouble getting in.
