I picked up some old drag race trophies and three more f them are from 1952 and say S.R.A. Semi finals, Anderson California. I’ve not been able to find anything on the SRA. anyone know what that stood for? the guy said maybe street rod association, which obviously wouldn’t be the NSRA which wasn’t around yet but apparently the term “street rod” did exist in the 50’s
The only track I found in Anderson is Shasta Speedway. Started out as a dirt track in the 40’s but now has NASCAR running. “Shasta Race Association”???????? Just a guess…
