S10 disc axle

Hi kids just curious anyone running a late S10 disc non 4x4 rear axle in a 40 ford pu 54.25 wide just getting hard to find maverick 8"inchers

Keep it a Ford and go with a early Explorer rear w/ discs. I believe they are close in size. Here's some info that might help.

Your going to find that the S-10 is a bit too narrow under a '35 40 frame. Also, the calipers are at a kinda weird angle and I can almost guarentee they will hit the frame. The most common under '35-'40s used to be Granadas that were right at about 58 1/2". The Mavericks check in at about 56 1/2" and were used under those years when you wanted to run some seriously shallow backspaced 8 1/2" wheels or the occasional 10".
