There's been some cool stuff going together where I work. Heavy on street rods as usual, but still some nice cars. Finished this roadster recently. We also turned this out. Didn't change a thing on the outside. But it got a MII front end, Ford rear and a Ram Jet 350/700r4. You wouldn't know except it's a little lower now. Before: Remember this one? Hot rod from the '60s'.....very cool car. I know, a shame to take it apart. But it's not my car so I got over it. It's still going to be a VERY nice car. It's out of paint now and going back together. This '41 Caddy belongs to Steve Harvey. Yeah, that Steve Harvey. This one is turning out gorgeous. I keep telling them they need to get those skirts and inch off the ground, but I guess Steve isn't in to tail draggers! Mostly cosmetic restoration, with an updated suspension and a Ram Jet 502 under the hood. Just a little proud of some of whats going on and thought I'd share. The website is www.SachseRodShop.com. Plenty more pictures and info there. Check it out.
That roadster looks just right... and Steve's Cadi would look killer on the ground. I've seen that one up close, that thing is going to be an great looking car.
Bought a few things from Milsap when I was in the business.............top notch folks! I assume from your wording you work with them now?!
You guys make it look easy Eric .. You are right, let people have what they want ..does not take away from the enjoyment of seeing quality work performed .. Very nice
Great group of guys. I stopped by the shop last week & got the tour. I was impressed by the inventory of parts they keep on hand.
Thanks everyone. I'll pass it on to the builders. We used Metal Rehab for Frank's stude body. Most everything else gets blasted.
Who's your painter? I've been down only once and toured the shop, but one thing I noticed was paint was always excellent. Thanks for the pics, I like street rods and hot rods. I'm building a hot rod because I'm poor I think that Studebaker has been around that shop for a long time, ha... Almost ready for a mold to be made for production.
We've had a couple painters over the last two years I've been here, but our painter now is a guy named Anthony Goodman. He does the bodywork too and is very good at both! The stude is the owner's personal project. He's done a lot to it over the summer. No idea when it will be finished, there's no deadline for it. http://www.sachserodshop.com/current/frankstude.html
Ive ordered a few things from Sachse also and always got super fast shipping and I found them to be decent priced. I have no affilitation with them, just been really happy with their service.
